Ana's Baptism and Mother's day!

Dear family and friends,

I hope that you all had a wonderful week this last week, and to all of you mothers--Happy Mother's day! I am so grateful for all of the wonderful women that have been such amazing examples for me through my whole life, especially my amazing, wonderful, loving and caring mother! Love you so much mom!

So starting with yesterday and working backwards, it was so wonderful to be able to talk to my family yesterday! It's crazy to see just how different you all are! But so fun to see everyone. Thank you Grandma and Aunt Julie for coming too! Love you all!

On Saturday we had the baptism of Hermana Ana, one of the investigators that we've been teaching during the whole time I've been here in Miguel Grau. She really is such an amazing person and has such a powerful spirit. There were so many miracles that had to happen so that she could be baptized this week, and at first it looked like things weren't going to come together, but in the end everything worked out! It helped me to strengthen my testimony of something that President Rowley mentioned in our leadership council last Wednesday: The Lord really doesn't need our help to realize this work. He can do everything on His own, but He lets us be a part of it. I am so grateful that in spite of all of my imperfections and errors, He is still able to bring about miracles like the baptism that we were able to participate in this Saturday

Here in the ward I'm giving English classes every Wednesday in the chapel, and they've been starting to pick up some steam in the last couple of weeks. This last week a woman that we'd just met showed up in the class, and we were able to teach her, and she came to church yesterday too. Miracle after miracle. Thank you all for your prayers. I really do feel them supporting me and lifting me up every day. Love you all! Hope you have a wonderful week! Remember that the Lord can do His own work. If you mess up, don't loose faith. He has already provided a way (ex. Joseph Smith and the 116 lost pages, and Nephi that wrote two records without knowing why) and everything will be okay. Remember who is the Lord of all things.

Love,

Hermana Garner
